FAQ
No. All processing happens inside your browser using a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg. Your video never leaves your device.
GIF is an inefficient format. Try a width of 320px or less, 5-10 fps, and a duration around 5 seconds to shrink the file dramatically.
MP4, MOV (iPhone), WebM, AVI, MKV and other common formats. The maximum file size is 200MB.
Trim Video by Time
Cut just the time range you need out of a video. Set the start and end points in seconds. To cut away the edges of the picture instead, use “Crop Frame”.

FAQ
Fast & lossless copies the video streams without re-compressing them, so it finishes almost instantly with zero quality loss. Because of how video is structured, the cut can only start at the nearest preceding keyframe, which may be a few seconds earlier than you asked for. Precise re-encodes the clip so it starts exactly where you specified, but it takes longer and loses a little quality.
Fast & lossless keeps the same format as the source (MP4 stays MP4, WebM stays WebM). Precise always outputs widely compatible MP4 (H.264 / AAC).
No. Trimming happens entirely inside your browser; the video is never sent to a server.
Crop Video Frame
Cut away unwanted areas from the top, bottom, left or right of a video — a screen recorder's status bar, stray margins, or burned-in captions.
Drag & drop a video, or click to select
0:00 / 0:00
Drag the edges of the green frame to set the area you want to keep. Use the slider to scrub through the video and check that the crop works everywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Trim by Time shortens the duration — it keeps, say, seconds 10 to 20. Crop Frame keeps the full duration and shrinks the picture area instead. If you want to remove a timestamp burned into the top of the video, this is the tool.
Video has no physical size — how large a centimetre looks depends on the screen it is played back on. So the amount is specified in pixels. If you do not know the number, just drag the green frame in the preview until it looks right; the percentage removed is shown as well.
The standard video codec (H.264) can only handle even widths and heights. If your settings produce an odd number, it is rounded down to the nearest even value and the output size field tells you it happened.
Cropping has to rebuild the picture, so the video is re-encoded and loses a little quality. Audio from an MP4 or MOV is copied as-is with no loss. For other containers such as WebM, the audio is converted to AAC (192 kbps) — copying it into an MP4 unchanged would produce a file that many players cannot play.
No. Cropping happens entirely inside your browser; the video is never sent to a server.

FAQ
Yes. The video stream is discarded and only the audio track is encoded to MP3. Your original file is left untouched.
Because everything runs in your browser, it depends on the length of the video and the speed of your device. Longer videos take longer.
